3 Powerhouse Smoothies For Busy School Mornings
Just as we’re all finally getting into the swing of chilled out, schedule-free summer mornings, back-to-school hits us all over again! Those of us at LonoLife with young families are psyching ourselves up for the crazy, can’t-waste-a-minute morning drill that’s about to re-enter our lives. What with packing lunches, checking backpacks, and making breakfast for a tribe of hungry school children, it’s easy to forget your own nutritional needs amongst it all.
But fear not, because we’ve put together a list of three of our favorite powerhouse smoothies for those busy mornings. These don’t just taste great -- they also pack in collagen and other great ingredients that will keep you going long after you’ve dropped the kids off at school. And if you’ve got smoothie-loving kids in your house, by all means -- get them on the smoothie train too!*
CHOCOLATE COLLAGEN MINT CHIP SMOOTHIE
Fool your taste buds with this decadent chocolate mint smoothie which combines high protein collagen, creamy avocado, and vitamin-rich spinach into one powerful smoothie. If your kids fall in love with this one, you can move right past breakfast, because they’ll have everything they need right in their smoothie cup.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 serving LonoLife Unflavored Collagen Peptides
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 banana (or steamed & frozen zucchini for lower sugar option)
- a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil/extract
- 1 serving protein powder of choice
- 1 handful spinach
- 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
- water or milk of choice to blend
DIRECTIONS:
1) Blend all of the ingredients except cacao nibs until incorporated.
2) Pulse the nibs through at the end to add texture. Enjoy!

- 1 serving chocolate protein powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup frozen (cooked) cauliflower or 1 frozen banana
- water or milk of choice to blend
DIRECTIONS:
