Kitchari with Bone Broth

One pot traditional Indian dish spruced up with bone broth. A staple to Ayurvedic cooking, it’s tridoshic (good for all doshas), high in protein and easily digestible. Not to mention delicious!

Servings: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes Total time: 30 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups LonoLife Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1 cup rice
  • ½ cup yellow lentils (moong dal)
  • ¼ cup peas
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 4 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 ½ teaspoons turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • Half a lemon
  • Sea salt & pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

• Add to pressure cooker

• Pressure cook for 25 minutes
